For those of you who can read French:

Mary has had a short story published in a French anthology called Clair Obscur (in French) translated in English as Chiaroscuro. The anthology just came out in April 2011 and is published by JBZ & Company. Mary is one of ten writers who donated their royalties to the French charity called Pour un Sourire d' Enfant which translates as "For A Child's Smile." "This wonderful foundation aids Cambodian children, traumatized by poverty and violence, by providing mobile medical services as well as a bookmobile. (See pictures of the bookmobile). Mary visited schools, libraries, and bookstores in the Aix en Provence, Brignoles, Cannes, Martigues, Sisteron, and Briancon in the Provence for the prix litteraire des lyceens et apprentis de la region PACA of which she is a finalist in the category of best novel for her novel, The Turtle Warrior (published as Wisconsin by Buchet Chastel in France). This award is chosen in collaboration with the high school students, teachers and PACA Art Agency and will be announced in May 2009.
